Our Commitment
Kellogg West Conference Center & Hotel is operated by Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises (CPPE), an auxiliary organization located on the campus of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (Cal Poly Pomona). We are committed to ensuring that our website, kelloggwest.com, is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities.
As an organization on the Cal Poly Pomona campus, Kellogg West follows the university’s accessibility guidelines and policies. Cal Poly Pomona’s institutional accessibility commitment — including its adoption of WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Section 504 and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act — guides our digital accessibility efforts. Standards We Follow
Kellogg West strives to conform to the following standards for web accessibility:
- World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA
- Web Accessibility Initiative Accessible Rich Internet Applications (WAI-ARIA 1.2) techniques
- California State University Accessible Technology Initiative (ATI) and Executive Order 1111 guidelines, as adopted by Cal Poly Pomona
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing priority for our team. Current and recent efforts include:
- Active use of the Equalize Digital Accessibility Checker (EDAC) plugin to continuously scan and identify accessibility issues across the site
- Regular review and remediation of color contrast, keyboard navigation, focus indicators, and ARIA landmark regions
- Descriptive alt text on images throughout the site
- Accessible navigation with keyboard-operable menus and screen-reader-compatible labels
- Compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA viewport and zoom requirements (maximum-scale=5, user-scalable=1)
- Ongoing remediation of heading structure, button labels, and interactive widget accessibility
We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time project. We are actively working to address known issues and continuously improve the experience for all users.
Known Limitations
While we work toward full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some areas of the site are currently being remediated, including:
- Heading hierarchy structure on some interior pages
- ARIA labeling on carousel navigation controls
- Icon element accessibility in certain navigation components
We are actively working to resolve these items. If any of these limitations affect your ability to access content or services, please contact us directly and we will provide the information in an alternative format.
